Self-Care Tips

This month’s topic is self care.

Self care is a key factor in maintaining your health in between your massage appointments. For those of us who are desk warriors, good posture and stretching breaks are important in preventing long term injury, fatigue and stress.  Most of us hold our tension in our necks and shoulders, remembering to care for these parts is especially important if your job requires sitting for long periods of time.  Light stretching warms the body and increases circulation while combating fatigue.

Here is an example of some simple stretches you can incorporate through out your busy work day to keep you feeling refreshed and alert.

Clary Sage is great for over all well being, mental health, and relaxation. It is a wonderful restorative to the body.

It combines well with many essential oils, one of my favorite combos is clary sage, blood orange and lavender for a relaxing, calming blend!

Try it in your diffuser, or safely apply a diluted solution with a carrier oil of your choice on the skin.
